Custom Wood Creations is a full service custom woodworking and millwork shop that delivers the highest quality craftsmanship for custom wood furniture, hand crafted cabinets, and millwork. From kitchens and bathrooms to basements and fireplaces we design and build custom solutions to fit your exact needs. We have a 4,000 square foot facility in Rochester, MI servicing all of south-east Michigan including Troy, Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield, Birmingham, Bingham Farms, Oakland County, Macomb County, Livingston County, Wayne County and Metro Detroit.

Custom Wood Creations, established in 1990, is a full service custom woodworking shop that is known for the amount of care given to each individual customer. We take pride in our attention to detail and our ability to execute every element from conception to fruition in a timely manner. We offer design services, custom craftsmanship and installation. We operate out of a magnificent 4000 square foot facility in the heart of Oakland County, but we also service Macomb, Livingston, and Wayne counties.

Every piece is designed to match your needs and tastes and is custom built to fit your home. Whether it"s a built-in entertainment center, home office or a free standing piece of furniture it will look as if it was meant to be there. Services

In-home Visit

Beginning with a short phone conversation, we can discuss your needs and ideas. If custom woodworking is the best solution for you, we can schedule an in-home consultation. We will take as much time as necessary to understand your desires and measure your space. Pictures are worth 1000 words, so feel free to show magazine clippings and pictures of your preferred style.

Proposal

In approximately one week you will receive a proposal with an estimated cost. If the estimate does not fit your budget, we can usually find ways to cut costs without sacrificing the entire design.

Design

Prior to design, we must receive a design retainer, which covers design services only and does not obligate you to have the project built. After receiving payment, the design will be drafted in about a week. The design is presented and finalized after necessary revisions are completed.

Production

Prior to production, we must receive the deposit or a signed copy of the proposal or design drawings. After you select a finish, your job will be scheduled for production. Depending on the size of the job lead time can be 4-6 weeks. When the piece is completed you will be invited to our facility for a final inspection. After the final payment is made delivery/installation will be scheduled.

Installation

Installation varies in length from one day to many weeks depending on the scope of the project. Our installers will treat your home with the utmost care and respect. If there are any problems or concerns we will happily take care of them.
